Maguy Marin

She really appeals to the PoMo side of me. I was really inspired by her work "Umwelt", which I got the chance to see over summer, when I was creating my piece "pastiche". Oh Maguy, we ought to chat.

Even her company's website is so trippy and such a breath of fresh air from the typical dance company websites that feature photo galleries and dancers' bios and what not; not that I don't love those companies. I just love this company's website for being a clear reflection of Marin's vision and personality, which I think is missing drastically in many websites. Too bad it's all in French so I can't really navigate around it too well. But it's eye candy nonetheless.
